1. Respectful behaviour
Harassment, threats, discriminatory abuse, sexualised behaviour, deliberate humiliation and repeated disruptive conduct are not acceptable. Differences in age, language, ability, culture and learning pace should be treated respectfully.
Correction is part of learning Quran and language. It should be delivered and received without ridicule, intimidation or degrading treatment.
2. Lesson readiness and participation
Learners should join on time where reasonably possible, use appropriate language and follow reasonable class instructions. Teachers should keep lessons focused on the agreed educational purpose and use professional boundaries.
Parents and guardians should support younger learners without taking control of the lesson unless assistance is requested.
3. Digital communication and privacy
Academy-related communication should use approved routes and remain appropriate to the educational relationship. Secret, inappropriate or unnecessarily personal contact with a child is not acceptable.
Do not record, copy, publish or distribute lesson content, messages, screenshots or personal details without the required permission.
4. Academic honesty and materials
Learners should present their own work when the teacher is assessing reading, memorisation, writing or understanding. Parents may support practice but should not misrepresent a learner’s work or progress.
Academy teaching materials are for the learner’s personal educational use unless a wider licence or permission is provided.
5. Responding to breaches
Depending on seriousness and context, the academy may give guidance, ask for behaviour to change, pause communication, change lesson arrangements or end access to a service. Serious safety concerns may be escalated to appropriate authorities where required or reasonably necessary.
Any response should take account of the learner’s age, the circumstances, safety and applicable rights.
